NORFOLK & SUFFOLK HPR FIELD TRAIL CLUB ID NO 2026 FIELD TRIAL STANDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR 2007/8
RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING ALL STAKES: All trials will be run under Kennel Club rules and field trail regulations, copies available from the Kennel Club, Clarges Street, London W17 8AB and those of the Norfolk & Suffolk HPR Field Trial Club RUNNERS There will be a maximum of twelve runners in a one day stake. Entries from dogs under 12 months on the day of the trial will not be accepted. DRAW (unless otherwise stated) The draw for each stake will take place at the address of the field trial secretary at approx. 7pm on the dates listed in the schedule. Competitors are invited to be present. In the event of excessive entries a ballot will be held. Anyone wishing to be informed of their number in the draw may telephone the field trail secretary during the evening of the draw, between 8pm and 10pm. Please enclose a stamped, self addressed envelope with your entry, so that notification can be sent to you as soon as possible following the draw. Substitution of dogs will not be accepted ENTRY FEES For all stakes - members £20.00, non members - £27.00 Please send a separate cheque for each dog and each trial There will be a 50% refund if a trial should be cancelled due to bad weather. Unused cheques will be destroyed ENTRIES An entry is an application for a dog, registered with the Kennel Club in the name of the applicant, Completed entry forms must be sent together with the appropriate fee, before the closing date to;- FT Sec. Such changes, and circumstances surrounding them, must be reported to the Kennel Club at the earliest opportunity. A field trial committee of the day will be appointed to act on behalf of the Norfolk & Suffolk HPR Field Trial Club from committee members present and/or fully paid up members of the Norfolk & Suffolk HPR Field Trial Club who are familiar with field trial regulations and procedures. DEFINITIONS MEMBERS Members are those that are fully paid up. Non members include those applying for membership and have not yet been before the committee for consideration. STAKES OPEN For dogs which have the opportunity of gaining a qualification, whole or part, towards the title Field Trial Champion or towards entry in the Championship Stake for its breed and which entry is open to all dogs of a specified breed or breeds; it may be limited to a prescribed number of runners, in which case these shall be decided by a draw, conducted in accordance with KC Regulations e.g. so that Preference is given to previous performance, preference in the ballot will be given in the following order (1) Members dogs which have gained a first, second, third award in an open stake; or first in a All Aged or Novice stake (2) Non members dogs which have gained a first, second, third award in an Open stake; or a first in a All age or Novice stake (3) Members dogs which have gained other awards (4 ) Non members dogs which have gained other awards (5) Members other dogs (6) Non members other dogs. The forgoing awards must have been gained in a stake qualifying for entry in the Kennel Club Stud book during the season then current or in the two seasons preceding it. ALL AGED Open to all dogs of a specified breed or breeds with out restriction as to their age, but which may be restricted by any other conditions which may be determined by the Club. Unless stated different on the schedule Preference in the ballot will be given to (1) Members dogs which have gained a field trial award (2) Non-members dogs which have gained a field trial award (3) Members other dogs (4) Non-members other dogs. NOVICE Confined to dogs which have not gained the following awards; first, second or third in any open stakes or first in an All Aged or Novice stake. Dogs are Ineligible for entry in a Novice trial immediately following a win, under such circumstances fees will be refunded. Members will be given preference in the draw.
Norfolk & Suffolk HPR FT Club will accept only one dog per single owner for entry in each trial, you should indicate your first choice on your entry form. Second dogs belonging to single owners will be accepted for entry only if there are less than the prescribed number of runners for the trial or to complete the list of reserves, please state preference on the entry form When dogs are owned in joint partnership, two dogs may be entered equally into the draw providing a different handler handles each dog. Excepting in an Open stake.
